Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic Relationship Executive – Group Life –  Broker Business to drive growth through leveraging existing relationships and acquiring new partners. You will proactively develop new product lines, manage key intermediaries and clients, maintain a balanced business portfolio, ensure timely premium collections and enforce credit policies. Regular performance reviews will ensure your portfolio remains profitable and aligned with our growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business and organic growth to meet monthly revenue and portfolio-mix targets (including general business).
  • Achieve the agreed premium targets.
  • Ensure the achievement and management of the desired portfolio mix of Group Life, Combined Solutions and Credit Life.
  • Ensure the achievement and management of the desired portfolio mix non-motor on assigned general business.
  • Follow through on renewal of existing business to achieve a retention rate above 90% for assigned portfolio to ensure retention of quality business.
  • Actively identify and pursue prospective new business and new relationships with suitable partners.
  • Maintain and grow the Group brand by proactively sourcing, onboarding and managing both new and existing intermediaries and clients.
  • Review account and product performance and advise the Head of Department on any issues requiring timely action.
  • Ensure adherence to all statutory, distribution, underwriting and compliance guidelines for all business engagements.
  • Actively establish and pursue superior client relationship management practices to ensure efficient service is consistently delivered to clients and partners as a proactive measure to enhance business growth and retention.
  • Ensure that all customer service matters are handled effectively.
  • Resolve internal audit recommendations in liaison with HOD and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide required reports of high quality and accurateness.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in insurance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • ACII/IIK or equivalent are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in long-term insurance business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Possesses comprehensive technical and industry knowledge of long term insurance products, employee benefits, underwriting fundamentals, onboarding & claim processes, insurance ethics, and reinsurance concepts.
  • Awareness of relevant insurance laws, regulations and Industry standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Relationship management, strong networking and partnership development skills
  • Collaboration, negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Awareness of market trends, competitor products, and industry innovations to ensure competitiveness.
