The Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA) Insurance is a statutory benefit cover mandated for all employers to obtain and maintain.

It ensures coverage for employees against injuries incurred while at work or on work assignments.


This policy is designed to provide compensation for accidental injuries, death and disablement arising out of employment-related activities, excluding deliberate misconduct.

Compensation Scope

WIBA provides compensation to employers for injuries and diseases contracted by employees during their employment or connected purposes.

No-Fault Coverage

This is a ‘no-fault act’, meaning negligence does not need to be proven against employers. Compensation is provided upon confirmation of the event (injury or disease) and damages.

Cover Benefits

  • Death Benefit

    Paid to beneficiaries in the event of the insured employee's death due to the injury

  • Temporary Total/Partial Disablement Benefit

    Compensation provided when an employee suffers temporary or total disablement, rendering them unable to perform their normal duties

  • Medical Expenses Benefit

    Reimburses the insured for reasonable medical expenses incurred due to an accident

  • Funeral Expenses Benefit

    Covers reasonable expenses for the funeral of the deceased employee
